Operations Manager

The Inuit Art Foundation is an Inuit-led charity providing support to Inuit artists working throughout Inuit Nunaat and beyond. As the sole national organization promoting Inuit are within Canada and internationally, we advocate for Inuit artists to be involved in all aspects of the marketing, promotion, and distribution of their work, as well as fair pricing, and copyright remuneration.
About the Position:
The Operations Manager is a crucial member of the Inuit Art Foundation’s (IAF) operational team. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role is responsible for assisting with a variety of administrative tasks to support all aspects of the IAF’s programs. The Operations Manager ensures that all programs and administrative functions operate effectively and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
What You Will Be Doing:
Optimizing Administrative Efficiency
- Develop and implement office systems and protocols, including maintaining and improving the effectiveness of the IAF’s Salesforce CRM database
- Create and maintain the IAF Employee Handbook and related reference materials
- Manage incoming communications, directing email or phone inquiries to appropriate staff members
- Ensure that office supplies are maintained and ordered, and that office equipment is in good working order
- Ensure the IAF’s website is updated with accurate personnel, contact information, program information and relevant deadlines
- Support the work of the organization through timely meeting reminders, minutes and distribution of relevant materials
Enhancing IAF’s Programming
- Create and maintain an organization-wide calendar of work back schedules, events, and deadlines, ensuring that deadlines are compatible and communicated across departments
- Assist with project managing program deliverables across the organization
- Help create, implement, and maintain effective communication procedures to ensure clarity about deliverables and deadlines across departments
- Manage subscription lists for the Inuit Art Quarterly, including earned and deferred revenue reports for each issue
Support for the Inuit Art Foundation
- Assisting with creating a culture of gratitude philanthropy by participating in donor thank-you calls and related outreach
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
- Maintaining the IAF’s CRM database
- Issuing tax receipts for eligible donations
- Attending both internal and external events, which may involve travel
- Assisting coworkers in achieving their deliverables, where needed
What You Will Need:
- Degree or diploma in Business/Public Administration, Operations Management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years experience working in a similar role, working in a similar role within an Indigenous organization or community would be an asset

Status: Permanent, Full-time
Salary range: $56,500 - $84,500 plus benefits
