Engaged is seeking proposals from qualified instructional designers to collaborate with us in creating and updating our innovative, engaging, and effective learning solutions. Our goal is to deliver exceptional training experiences to our clients, empowering their teams and enhancing workplace dynamics. The successful candidate will possess the creativity, expertise, and technical skills necessary to design and develop instructional materials that align with our organizational goals and values.

Our learning programs are a cornerstone of our offerings, designed to meet diverse needs across industries.
Scope of Work
The instructional designer will work closely with our team to design, develop, and implement learning solutions. Deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Needs Assessment: Collaborating with Engaged to update the needs assessment process used to identify training needs, audience characteristics, and desired learning outcomes.
- Content Development: Creating and/or updating instructional materials such as lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant workbooks/handouts, and interactive activities.
- Instructional Design: Applying evidence-based instructional design principles to ensure all learning solutions content creates an engaging, accessible, and effective learning experience.
- Multimedia Integration: Incorporating multimedia elements, such as graphics, videos, and animations, to enhance the learning experience.
- Evaluation Tools: Updating pre- and post-assessments, surveys, and other evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of the training.
- Implementation Support: Providing guidance and support for learning program rollouts, including train-the-trainer sessions if required.
- Revisions and Updates: Making iterative updates based on feedback from pilot testing and initial program rollouts.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in instructional design and adult learning principles, particularly in areas of organization development, workforce development and human resources.
- Expertise in designing for both in-person and virtual training environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Desktop applications.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with HR-related topics is an asset but not mandatory.
Proposal Requirements
Interested candidates are invited to submit a proposal that includes the following:
- Cover Letter: Briefly explain your interest and qualifications for this project.
- Portfolio: Examples of previous instructional design work, including sample training materials.
- Approach and Methodology: Describe your process for completing the project, including timelines and milestones.
- Budget: Provide a detailed cost breakdown, including hourly rates and anticipated expenses.
- References: Contact information for at least two clients for whom you have completed similar projects.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Relevance and quality of prior work
- Alignment of proposed approach with project goals
- Qualifications and experience of the applicant
- Cost-effectiveness of the proposal
- References and testimonials
