Position Overview
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for program management and a drive to make a real impact? IAF is looking for a Manager, Programs to take the lead in delivering high-quality programs that support British Columbia’s agriculture and agrifood industry. In this role, you’ll oversee program implementation, ensure seamless execution, and provide top-tier client service while working with internal teams and funding partners. You’ll manage program applications, monitor budgets, and contribute to strategic planning—all while leading and mentoring a team of professionals. To be successful in this role, you will excel at managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a talent for collaboration.
This is a full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, 12-month term position, with a possibility for extension. The role is hybrid working out of IAF’s Victoria office 3 days per week. The salary range is $85,000-$89,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation, delivery, and monitoring of all programs or significant projects to ensure the highest level of quality throughout the project life cycle
- Work with all departments to ensure programs are delivered in accordance with their contractual requirements while ensuring a high level of client service
- Support the Director, Programs in the development of program-related strategies, plans and policies including preparation of program analyses, briefings, reports and presentations as required
- Ensure budget requirements within the framework of a program are adhered to for the duration of the program
- Provide leadership to coordinators and assistants in communication with clients and stakeholders and support them to identify and resolve issues
What You Will Bring
- Degree in business, public administration, applied sciences or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, design, development and implementation – equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Strong understanding of Agriculture and Agrifood value-chains and business operations in British Columbia
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments and workload within limited timeframes and handle a demanding and varying workload with high level of accuracy
- Highly knowledgeable in project management, user experience principles and processes, and industry consultation processes
- Excellent English writing, oral and presentation skills
- Strong ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite desktop applications including spreadsheets, database maintenance (FLUXX or similar program), presentation software and experience using SharePoint.
