About the Regional Homestay Coordinator position
MBE is currently seeking a Regional Homestay Coordinator (RHC). As an RHC you have strong relationship-building and problem-solve skills, and will serve as the single, bilingual (Arabic/English) point of contact for all homestay and accommodation matters within your country or region as assigned. A day might see you interacting with international students and homestay families for support and inquiries, while also monitoring adherence to agreed homestay standards while overseeing accurate matching of students based on their profiles and preferences. Working alongside the triage team, you will work to help resolve issues and provide temporary solutions to ensure the safe and supportive homes for our international students. Through your outstanding administrative skills, you will collect and maintain important travel information, keep data updated and current, and prepare well-organized documentation for audit and review.
This full-time permanent position may require occasional in-person student support, as determined by operational needs. Additionally, weekend availability is expected to address urgent matters or emergencies as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for third-party homestay/accommodation providers
- Provide bilingual (Arabic/English) support to international students and homestay families
- Document service gaps or incidents, while escalating to internal teams as needed
- Provide 24/7 phone and chat support for accommodation-related concerns
- Monitoring adherence to agreed standards of safety, cultural alignment and infrastructure
- Working in collaboration with your triage team colleagues, working scheduled or assigned triage shifts
- Collect and maintain key travel and visa data for students within your region
- Track and flag upcoming visa renewals and coordinate renewal logistics with necessary parties
- Produce monthly summary reports on student satisfaction, incident response times, and provider compliance
- Prepare documentation for audits and reviews
- Accurately log all incidents, including actions taken and ensuring timely follow-ups are completed
- Arrange temporary solutions for students as needed for urgent cases
- Support homestay hosts, natural parents, agents, and students in interpreting cultural practices and differences
- Verify airport pickup arrangements and ticket bookings against internal records
- Support student and host family relationships throughout their program in a variety of ways
The successful candidate will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Internal Relations, Education, Social Work, or a related field of study
- 3-5 years experience working in Student Services, Accommodation Management, International Mobility or related operations is an asset
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, with strong skills in speaking and writing.
- International experience including hosting students or travelling abroad (preferred)
- Great judgement and decision-making skills while exercising a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a potential of high-stress situations
- Proficient with CRM’s and tracking tools
- Exceptional Customer Service skills and experience
- Excellent Word, Excel, Email, and Database skills
- Superior organizational skills and ability to hold yourself accountable while working independently.
