What You’ll Do
As a Terrestrial Biologist, you’ll be part of a collaborative team conducting fieldwork, analyzing data, and supporting environmental assessments. You’ll:
- Assist with field surveys and ecological studies focused on wildlife, vegetation, wetlands, and habitat.
- Help manage and analyze ecological data to support project goals.
- Support project logistics, including planning field trips and coordinating with site contacts.
- Contribute to report writing and assist with proposals.
- Travel for fieldwork (some trips may be 10–12 days in duration).
- Prioritize safety and professionalism in all tasks.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s excited to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful work.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, ecology, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or volunteer fieldwork count).
- Interest in terrestrial and wetland ecosystems in BC, Alberta, and northern Canada.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work in remote or industrial environments.
- Eligibility for RPBio (BC) or PBiol (AB) is an asset.
