Summary of Integrated Marketing Specialist role:
The Integrated Marketing Specialist plays a hands-on, highly versatile role within the Marketing Communications team, supporting and strengthening marketing efforts that position Greater Victoria as a compelling travel destination. This is a true generalist opportunity for someone who enjoys moving fluidly between strategy and execution, contributing across digital and traditional channels while bringing a strong appreciation for data-informed decision making. From website updates, content creation, social media, and design support to performance tracking, analytics, reporting, and campaign management, this role balances creativity and insight. Working closely with colleagues and partners, the Integrated Marketing Specialist helps ensure campaigns are well executed, on brand, and grounded in measurable results, bringing curiosity, care, and clarity to every project they support.
This position is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work in-office at least three times per week, requiring the successful candidate to be located in the Greater Victoria region. It is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with the occasional need to attend events on evenings and weekends. The salary is between $60,000-$65,000.
What you need to bring:
A degree or diploma in Marketing or a related field; a combination of education and/or work experience will be considered.
A minimum of 3 years of generalist marketing experience, preferably within tourism, destination marketing, or a related sector.
Experience supporting data-driven marketing campaigns, with established knowledge of marketing concepts in the context of various print and digital media.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
Proficient in, and strong technical knowledge of, the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop), Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Proven campaign and project management experience.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling content.
Proven experience with and ability to manage, develop and deepen content channels including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, blog and eNewsletters.
